Marriages of the 1836 Obverse 1 Die
The 1836 Obverse 1 Die was used only on the LM-1 R-4 and the LM-2 R-3. The LM-1 has a single re-marriage giving us the LM-1.1 and LM-1.2. We can see the rapid deterioration of the DD reverse between LM-1.1 and LM-1.2. Note the large cud on the reverse of LM-1.2. This is the major pick up point in identifying the LM-1.2. Also note the "Low 5 High C". Very late die states will have another large cud over "STAT".
